What a pleasure it was to photograph Matthew & Rebecca’s beautiful September wedding at White Dove Barns! It was our first time photographing this venue and I think it’s safe to say we’ve fallen in love.
Matt & Beck both got ready at White Dove Barns as well, Matt getting ready in The Thatch and Beck getting ready in the Dovecote Bridal Suite. There were so many lovely opportunities for detail shots of the shoes, rings etc in the morning and lots of lovely light coming in to help with those getting ready shots.
One of the best things about getting ready at your venue is that there’s extra time for group shots and pictures before the ceremony, as you don’t need to factor in travel time – perfect.
One of my favourite things about Matt & Beck’s wedding day was Matt’s reaction to Beck walking down the aisle – “the cat that caught the cream” comes to mind 🙂 and HOW beautiful is Beck’s dress?! I love that Beck added a little detail to the back of the dress for the evening – perfect! The speeches were fantastic and Matt & Beck’s first dance was on fire – that was some brilliant dancing!
We always love it when we see previous wedding couples at other weddings and this was no different. Mike & Amy recommended us to Matt & Beck, and of course they were at the wedding so it was lovely to catch up! It really couldn’t have been more perfect weather for September, the sun was shining and the sky was blue – there even was a blood moon later on in the evening.
Something else we’d the pleasure of photographing before this wedding was the sparkler walk! You could tell everyone really enjoyed it, though it was 9pm and most people were very merry so it was slightly scary walking backwards in front of M&B while drunk guests were waving around fireworks – but we lived to tell the tale 😉
Thank you Matt & Beck for choosing us as your photographers, we truly enjoyed documenting your wedding day. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!
