Well if this wasn’t a memorable wedding I don’t know what is! I came home from this wedding beaming from ear to ear. Mike and Amy are a perfect couple, the way they look at each other is like something you see in a fairytale.
I started the morning at Amy’s parents in Rendlesham, where I photographed the lovely little details like the beautiful Tiffany earrings, the amazing dress and the cutest card written by Mike to Amy on their wedding day (it brought tears to my eyes!)
Not only did he write a lovely card, he had also organised a surprise for Amy in the morning – a Volkswagen Beetle and a Volkswagen camper van to take Amy, the Father of the Bride, and the bridesmaids to the wedding.
Something I certainly won’t forget is the Father of the Bride’s reaction to seeing Amy walking down the stairs – now that is one proud dad!
After the very touching ceremony, the ‘chaffeurs’ took Mike, Amy, and I down the driveway of All Manor of Events to have some couple pictures taken with the cars, and when we got back we did not expect to hear that there was a power cut for the whole of Henley. Usually that would cue panic, however, Mike and Amy took the news like a breeze. Unfortunately the power did not come back in time, so we had to move the whole wedding breakfast outside onto the grass. Which actually worked out quite well because it was a gorgeous day, and Mike and Amy originally wanted to get married in Spain. Plus, how many people can say that they had their wedding breakfast totally al fresco… in England?!
Something that All Manor of Events is certainly famous for is their amazing dessert table. Everything that you could possibly dream of was there, all in bitesize portions, so that you can have one (or more) of each. Mmmmmmmhmm
And then to top it all of, the dance floor was basically on fire all night with all that fabulous dancing going on!
What a fantastic day… I will always remember how wonderfully chilled out Mike and Amy were on their wedding day. No matter what life wanted to throw at them, even on their wedding day, they just took it in their stride.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Scarlett! Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer, it was an absolute pleasure <3
